612 - C block - due Thursday 15.12.17
thursday - unit 3 big quiz [43 points]
stuff to know:
-midsegment: connect the midpoint of 2 sides of a triangle and is both parallel and half of the third side.
-when given parallel lines:
alt in <s congruent
alt ext <s congruent
corr <s congruent
same side int <s supp
-total interior angle measure of polygon: (n - 2)180
-each interior angle measure of regular polygon: (n - 2)180 / n
-the hierarchy of quadrilaterals and the properties of each (sorry... you just gotta know it)
the way this part will work...
TRUE or FALSE: -all rectangles are parallelogram (true!)
-all parallelograms are rectangles (so false dude)
-the diagonals of a parallelogram are always congruent (obvi not)
-proof! yeah, there will be one proof... no, it will not be anywhere near as difficult as the proof you did in class today. know how to prove triangles congruent, and for sure know the properties of parallelogram (congruent opp sides, parallel opp sides being most important)... know about segment addition and subtraction, vertical angles, angles formed by parallel lines and all that good stuff...
